Allah is Enough

Love

Bismillaah walh'amdulillaah!

Allaah, Al-Wadud (the Most-Loving), mentions in His Divine Book:

"O you who have believed! Protect yourselves and your families from the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels harsh and severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allaah, but do that (only) which they are commanded."

[Al-Qur'aan, Surah At-Tahreem, Chapter# 66, Verse# 6]
. . .

Allaah, Al-Hakeem (the All-Wise), acknowledges in His Diving Book:

"Friends on that Day will be foes to one another except Al-Muttaqun [i.e. the pious believers in Islamic Monotheism (see 2:2)]."

[Al-Qur'aan, Surat Az-Zukhruf, Chapter# 43, Verse# 67]
. . .

Reported Abu Hurayrah (ra) that Allaah's Messenger, Muh'ammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"On the Day of Rising (i.e. on the Judgment Day of Resurrection), Allaah, the Exalted, will say: 'Where are those who loved one another for the sake of My Majesty? Today, on this day, when there is no shade but My Shade, I will shade them.'"

[Sahih Muslim]

Reciter

Who is your favorite reciter of Qur'an? Aren't you often amazed, shocked, or even blown away by the beauty of their recitation? Now imagine this:

Jubayr ibn Mut'im said, "I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) reciting Surat At-Tur while praying maghrib. Without a doubt, I have never heard a more beautiful voice or recitation than his recitation." [Bukhari & Muslim]

help us against kafirun

Bismillah-Hir-Rahman-Nir-Raheem ... ... ...
Surat:''Al-Baqarah'' (The Cow)
Allah does not impose on any self any more than it can stand. For it is what it has earned; against it, what it has merited. Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake! Our Lord, do not place on us a load like the one You placed on those before us! Our Lord, do not place on us a load we have not the strength to bear! And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy on us. You are our Master , so help us against the people of the kafirun. (2: 286)

Prophet Muhammad S.A.W The Role Model

I said and Allah said

I said: My sins are so many.
Allah said: "And who can forgive sins
except Allah? " [3:135]

I said: Do not leave me.
Allah said: "So remember Me; I will
remember you." [2:152]

I said: I'm facing a lot of difficulties in life.
Allah said: "And whoever fears Allah ?
He will make for him a way out." [65:2]

I said: I have many dreams that I want to come true.
Allah said: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." [40:60]

Ya Allah forgive me and my parents and (all) the believers on
the day when the reckoning will be established.
Ameen Ya Allah

Dear Allah

Dear Allah - Forgive me for my weaknesses & shortcomings. Remove from my heart the love of everything that You do not love.

Gift in Islam

Reported by Ibn `Abbas (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "He who gives something (to someone) as a gift and then gets it back (from him or her) is like a dog which eats its own vomit.'' [Bukhari & Muslim] A gift which is insincere or comes with strings attached is not really a gift!

Role of Khadija (peace be on her) as wife

Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) was there to believe in her husband (Muhammad peace be upon him) when he doubted himself, and supported him with everything she had when others doubted him. So too should you believe in your husband and express that to him and support him with everything gifted to you. In such moments true love is revived.

If you want a wife like Khadija (may Allah be pleased with her), ask yourself, how close are you to being like our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and vice versa.

Gentleness

"Gentleness is not included in anything except that it beautifies it." - Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Deeds

Your deeds today are the bricks of your home tomorrow. Build your eternal home wisely!

Despair

Time to repent

The time to repent is NOT when you get older. It is NOT in a year, NOR a month, NOR tomorrow, NOR EVEN in a second! THE TIME TO REPENT IS NOW! NOW! Do not hesitate for even an INSTANT! For delaying taubah only leads to hardening of one's heart. If you delay, you never know if you will be able to repent in the future.

Our Lord said

Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

Shahada (Testimony, Witness)-The first of the Five Pillars of Islam
''I testify that there is no deity but Allah, who is without partner and I bear witness that Mohammad (Peace be upon him) is His worshipper and His Messenger''
Ash hadu An Laa ilaaha illal lahu wahdahoo laa shareekalahu wa ash hadu anna Mohammadan abdu hoo wa rasoolu

Allah's Apostle [Peace be upon him] said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad [Sallal laahoo alaihi wassallam] is Allah's Apostle.

2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.

3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity) .

4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca)

5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

Success

Success

Do you want to SUCCEED in all aspects of life?
Before you seek success, SEEK ALLAH and success will seek you. Instead of following your desires and running after this world, you should strive to gain the pleasure of Allah. DO WHAT ALLAH LOVES and He will Give you what you love.

Nothing can defeat us if we truly follow Islam in its essence.
According to a hadith, when we leave something for the sake of Allah, ALLAH replaces it with something much better than what we left for His sake.
RUN after this WORLD and you gain NOTHING.
Run after ALLAH and you will gain EVERYTHING.

He is The One Who is in control of everything. Only He can Grant your wishes.
PLEASE ALLAH and Allah will please you.

Dua for SUCCESS:

This is the supplication of Prophet Yusuf alaihissalaam.

Accept certain commands of Allah and rejects others

Pursuit of Water game

Pursuit of Water game

"Lawful to you is water game and its use for food -- for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel, but forbidden is (the pursuit of) land game as long as you are in a state of Ihram."(5:96)

Ibn Abbas said that:
"water game' refers to what is taken from water while still alive"

Imam Malik bin Anas recorded that Jabir bin Abdullah said:
"Allah's Messenger sent an army towards the east coast and appointed Abu Ubaydah bin Al-Jarrah as their commander, and the army consisted of three hundred men, including myself.
We marched on until we reached a place where our food was about to finish.

Abu Ubaydah ordered us to collect all the food for our journey, and it was collected in two bags of dates.
Abu Ubaydah kept on giving us our daily ration in small amounts from it, until it was exhausted. The share of each of us used to be one date only.
I (one of the narrators from Jabir) said, "How could one date suffice for you?"
Jabir replied:

"We came to know its value when even that finished."

Jabir added:

"When we reached the seashore, we saw a huge fish which was like a small mountain.

The army ate from it for eighteen days.

Then Abu Ubaydah ordered that two of its ribs be affixed in the ground.

Then he ordered that a she-camel be ridden, and it passed under the two ribs (forming an arch) without touching them.''

This Hadith was also collected in the Two Sahihs.

Malik recorded that Abu Hurayrah said:
"A man asked Allah's Messenger, `O Allah's Messenger! We go to sea and carry little water with us. If we use it for Wudu, we get thirsty, so should we use seawater for Wudu?"
The Messenger of Allah said:

"Its water is pure and its dead are lawful."
The two Imams, Ash-Shafii and Ahmad bin Hanbal, recorded this Hadith, along with the Four Sunan compilers.

Al-Bukhari, At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih.
This Hadith was also recorded from the Prophet by several other Companions.

Seek Allah's forgiveness

Is Your Home an Islamic Home?

Is Your Home an Islamic Home?

Allāh says: "And Allāh has made for you in your homes a place of rest…" [1]
This may seem like an unusual question and your automatic response may be "Why, of course my home is an Islāmic Home!! My family is Muslim and that makes our home a Muslim one!!" Go through this short checklist to determine if your response should really be in the affirmative.

I Have Chosen a Good Spouse
There are several aḥadīth that highlight the importance of choosing a righteous and pious spouse. The wisdom of this is obvious: a pious spouse is more likely to bring happiness and contentment to the other spouse and the couple together will be more able to build a righteous family and home life. This is the foundation of the home.

I Help Guide My Spouse
This begins with each spouse fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of their roles and treating each other with kindness and compassion. It then goes beyond this to include guidance in other spiritual matters such as striving to strengthen imān; paying attention to worship and correcting it when needed; encouraging the reading of Qur'ān, praying at night, giving charity, and reading books on Islām; helping to choose pious friends; enjoining goodness and forbidding evil. Imān is something that may increase or decrease so it is necessary to continually focus on increasing our own and that of our spouse.

Our Home is a Place for Remembrance of Allāh
Remembrance can be in many forms: with the heart, with the tongue, through prayer, recitation of Qur'ān, memorizing adhkār and using them, discussing Islamic issues, or reading Islamic material. These are things that should occur on a consistent basis so that the angels will come to the home and bring Allāh's blessings. The Prophet, (Ṣallāhu 'alayhi wa salam) said: " The example of a home in which Allāh is remembered and the example of a home in which Allāh is not remembered, is like comparing the living and the dead."[2]

Our Home is a Place of Worship
This means that ṣalah is established within the home at its required time and that members of the family pray in congregation when several are present. The family may also designate a specific area for prayer and maintain its uniqueness and cleanliness. For women, it is better to pray each prayer within the home. For men, it is recommended to pray voluntary prayers at home after having prayed obligatory prayers in the masjid. The Prophet (Ṣallāhu 'alayhi wa salam) said: "The voluntary prayer in the home is better than the voluntary prayer with the people. It is like the obligatory prayer of the man in congregation being better than praying the obligatory by himself." [3] This is to ensure that homes are made places of worship just as the masajids.

We Regularly read Surah Al-Baqarah and Ayatul Kursi to Keep Satan Away
The Messenger of Allāh (Ṣallāhu 'alayhi wa salam) said: "Recite Surah Al Baqarah in your houses, for the satan does not enter a house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited." [4] He also said: "When you go to your bed, recite Ayatul Kursi: 'Allāh! There is no god but Him, the Ever Living, the One Who Sustains and Protects all that exists' to the end, for then there will remain over you a guardian from Allāh, and satan will not come near you until morning." [5]

Teaching and Learning are Ongoing Activities in Our Home
This is primarily the responsibility of the head of the household who must ensure that he is guiding his family to the correct path, enjoining them to do good, and forbidding them from evil. Attaining knowledge is incumbent upon all members of the family and is the basis upon which imān will flourish. A study circle should be established in the home that covers the various areas in Islām and from which all family members will benefit. Children should especially be encouraged to participate since this will establish a pattern for them that will be carried throughout their lifetimes.

We Have an Islamic Library in Our Home
This may include such things as books, cassette tapes, and CDs. It is important to choose accurate and reliable material that will benefit the members of the family. There should be a variety of materials to cover all age levels and language needs of those in the home. Arabic material is definitely a must since everyone in the family should either know or be learning to read the language of the Qur'ān. Books should cover a variety of topics, be properly organized, and be easily accessible. Audiotapes and CDs may include Qur'ān recitation, lectures, khuṭbahs, tapes for children containing supplications, reminders of Islamic manners, and nashīds (religious songs with no musical instruments). Family members should encourage one another to use these materials on a regular basis, and should be shared with other Muslim families who may be in need of them.

We Try to Have Morals and Manners Like Prophet Muḥammad
The Prophet (Ṣallāhu 'alayhi wa salam) said: "When Allāh wills some good towards the people of a house hold, He introduces kindness among them."[6] He also said: "Allāh loves kindness and rewards it in such a way the He does not reward for harshness or for anything else."[7] There are many examples of the Prophet's kindness and good treatment toward his family that we should try to emulate. He was affectionate and playful with his wives and children and would help with household chores to ease the burden for his wives. Following his example will bring tranquillity to the home and help to truly make it an abode of rest.

We Know the Islamic Rulings That Pertain to Houses
Such as guarding the secrets of the home, seeking permission to enter, not looking into other people's homes, not allowing children to enter the parent's bedroom during certain times of the day, and not staying alone overnight. This last one is interesting to consider since some husbands travel for their business or work. The Prophet (Ṣallāhu 'alayhi wa salam) actually discouraged this. Ibn 'Umar reported that the Prophet forbade being alone and said that a man should not stay overnight alone or travel alone.[8] Not only will he be alone, but his wife and children are likely to be left alone in the home without any protection or companionship.

We Invite Righteous and Knowledgeable People to Our Home
"My Lord! Forgive me, and my parents, and him who enters my home as a believer, and all the believing men and women." [9] Righteous people who enter your home will bring many benefits due to their presence and conversations with them. They are more likely to discuss useful topics and may be excellent sources of information and knowledge. We should always make du'ā that Allāh will bless us with righteous friends since they can have such positive effects on us. The Prophet (Ṣallāhu 'alayhi wa salam) said: "Keep company with a believer only, and let your food be eaten only by the righteous."[10]

There are No Evils Within Our Home
Television (except possibly for educational programs) and unlawful music are not allowed in the house; pictures on the wall do not contain animate beings; there are no statues or anything that resembles statues; dogs are not present in the house; smoking is not allowed; decorations are kept simple to avoid excessiveness; the telephone is used for beneficial purposes and not harmful ones (such as gossiping or backbiting); when people come to visit, the men and women sit separately. The effects of these evils on the sanctity of the home should be obvious. For example, the Prophet (Ṣallāhu 'alayhi wa salam) said: "Angels do not enter a house which has either a dog or a picture in it."[11]

The Physical Aspects of the Home are Conducive to Fulfilling Religious Obligations
It is best for the home to be close to a mosque so that it will be easier for men to attend the prayers in congregation and for all family members to visit the mosque for lectures, study groups, and social gatherings. It is also advisable to find an area where other Muslims live to obtain the benefits of community. One should definitely be careful about close neighbours and avoid those who are obviously immoral. When choosing a house, consideration should be made regarding the availability of separate sitting areas for men and women. The house should be spacious and fulfil safety and health requirements.

WHAT'S YOUR SCORE?
10-12 checkmarks: Congratulations! You have a sound Islamic Home and are on the correct path.
7-9 checkmarks: Fair to Good. You need a hit of work, but with Allāh's help it will be easy.
4-6 checkmarks: Poor. You and your family really need to focus on changing many aspects of the home so that it will be more pleasing to Allāh and so that you can receive His rewards.
0-3checkmarks: Poor. It is definitely time to do some major house cleaning!
mark for yourself we dont need to know your score

Prohibition of Cruelty

Allah, the Exalted, says:

"And do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor), the neighbour who is near of kin, the neighbour who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. continuously committing sins

Ibn Qayyim has shed some more light on this interpretation by saying that when a person commits sins, his feeling of hayâ' is lessened. As he commits more and more sins, his hayâ' is weakened more and more, to the point that it may not exist at all. When he gets to that point, he does not care what people might say or think about him. In fact, he might even start to tell others about the sins that he has committed. This type of person will not be forgiven and the road to repentance will be blocked for him.

Value of life

The value of your life has nothing to do with how much money you earn but instead by how much you give to others.

Excellent Dua

Women's duty

Question: Which is better for a Muslim woman, taking care of her house and husband, or devoting her time to seeking knowledge, and bringing a servant to take care of the house?

Answer: Yes, it is obligatory for a Muslim woman to strive to understand her religion as much as possible, but serving her husband, obeying her husband and raising her children are also important obligations. She should make time to learn every day, even if it is only a little. Or she should put aside some time for reading and then the rest of her time will be for her daily work. In this way she will not be neglecting learning and she will not be neglecting her work and children and leaving them to a servant to look after. Seeking balance in this matter, by setting aside time for learning, even if it is a little, and time for her housework, will be sufficient for her.

[Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan – al-Fataawa al-Jaami'ah li'l-Mar'ah al-Muslimah, part 3, p. 1085]

Menstrual blood

A woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: Menstrual blood may get onto the clothes of any one of us; what should she do with it? He said: "She should scratch it, then rub it with water, then wash it, then pray in it."

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (227) and Muslim (291).

Darkness and light of the Heart

The series continues with Uthman Ibn Affan RA; Uthman RA did not attach much importance to this world, of which he said: Concern with this world is darkness in the heart, but concern with the Hereafter is light in the heart.

Honor and Humiliation

Allah honors people through His obedience and humiliates people through His disobedience.

Influence other to goodness

Reported by Abu Mas`ud `Uqbah bin `Amr Al-Ansari Al-Badri (RA): Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever guides someone to virtue will be rewarded equivalent to him who practices that good action". [Muslim] Imagine how wonderful if we can influence others to goodness.

Kindness

Narrated 'Aishah: Allah's Messenger said, "Allah is Kind and He loves kindness, and confers upon kindness which He does not confer upon severity, and does not confer upon any thing besides it (kindness)." (Muslim)

Ask Allah

Kindness

The Prophet (SAW) said:
"Those who are kind and considerate to Allah's creatures, Allah bestows His kindness and affection on them. Show kindness to the creatures on the earth so that Allah may be kind to you." (Abu Dawud)

Islam

Islaam not only emphasizes the uniqueness of male and female roles, but it also dictates the separation of the sexes in most walks of life outside of a strictly defined family circle. Islaam encourages the development of female-oriented institutions run and maintained by women, where feasible. In this way females will be able to express themselves without feeling inhibited, intimidated or harassed.

Respect for Scholars and Ahl Al-Bayt

Respect for Scholars and Ahl Al-Bayt

It is reported from Al-Sha'bī that he said:

Zayd b. Thābit – Allāh be pleased with him – once mounted [his horse or camel] to ride it, so Ibn 'Abbās – Allāh be pleased with them – took hold of the reins [to serve him by leading his ride]. When he did this, Zayd said (out of respect for him), "Don't do this o cousin of Allāh's Messenger – Allāh's praise and peace be upon him." Ibn 'Abbās said, "This is what we have been told to do with our scholars (i.e. respect them and serve them)." Zayd said, "Show me your hand." Ibn 'Abbās held out his hand, and Zayd kissed it and said, "And this is what we have been told to do with the Ahl Al-Bayt (Family) of our Prophet – Allāh's praise and peace be upon him."

BROTHERHOOD

"The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim. He does not oppress him; he does not abandon him; he does look down upon him. It is a sufficient amount of evil for a person that he looks down upon his Muslim brother. All of the Muslim is Haraam for the Muslim; his blood, his wealth, and his honor."

Allah the Most High says, "And mankind was created weak." [Surat An-Nisa, 28]

A Reflection: We quote and use this verse to give ourselves an excuse for our shortcomings. But we should also quote and use this verse to make an excuse for the shortcomings, transgressions, and mistakes made by others against us inshaAllah.

Abdur-Razzaq recorded that Abdullah bin Mas`ud said

"Is about Bal`am bin Ba`ura' a man from the
Children of Israel.''

Shu`bah and several other narrators narrated
this statement from Mansur who got it from Ibn
Mas`ud.

Al-Awfi reported that Ibn Abbas said,

"He is Bal`am bin Ba`ura', a man from Yemen
whom Allah had given the knowledge of His Ayat,
but he abandoned them.''

Malik bin Dinar said,

"He was one of the scholars of the Children of
Israel whose supplication was acceptable. They
used to seek his lead in supplication in times of
difficulty. Allah's Prophet Musa sent him to the
King of Madyan to call him to Allah. That king
appeased him and gave him land and gifts, and
he reverted from the religion of Musa and
followed the king's religion.''

Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn Abbas said,

"He is a man from the city of the tyrants
(Jerusalem) whose name was Bal`am and who
knew Allah's Greatest Name.''

Ali bin Abi Talhah also reported that Ibn Abbas
that he said,

"When Musa and those with him went to the city
of the tyrants (Jerusalem), the cousins of Bal`am
and his people came to him and said, `Musa is a
strong man, and he has many soldiers. If he
gains the upper hand over us, we will be
destroyed. Therefore, supplicate to Allah that He
prevents Musa and those with him from prevailing
over us.' Bal`am said, `If I supplicate to Allah
that He turns back Musa and those with him, I
will lose in this life and the Hereafter.'
They kept luring him until he supplicated against
Musa and his people, and Allah took away what
he bestowed on him (of knowledge).

"...and avoid them with gracious avoidance." [Surat al-Muzzammil: 10]
This means avoidance without any type of harm.

The person will say,

"I will not accept for anyone to give testimony concerning me except myself.''

Allah will say,

"You are sufficient as a witness against yourself.''
Then a seal will be put upon his mouth and it will be said to his faculties,

"Speak.'' So they will speak about his deeds.
Then he will be permitted to speak, and he will say,

"Away with you! I was only speaking in your defence!''
This was recorded by Muslim and An-Nasa'i.

Fear of Allah

Reported by Anas (RA): You indulge in (bad) actions which are more insignificant to you than a hair while we considered them at the time of Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to be great destroying sins". [Bukhari] Commentary: The less fear of Allah, one has the more disobedient he becomes to Him. As the fear of Allah decreases, one becomes more bold in committing sins. As the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) were intensely fearful of Allah, they were afraid of committing even very minor sins.

Kind words and covering of faults in Islam

Example of believer and wicked person in Isalm

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes straight again. Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes."
Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 70 Hadith 547

wish for death in Islam

Reported by Anas (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Let not one of you wish for death because of a misfortune which befalls him. If he cannot help doing so, he should say: 'O Allah, keep me alive as long as You know that life is better for me, and make me die when death is better for me". [Bukhari & Muslim] Sometimes, things can appear hopeless, but always return the matter to Allah, and He will take care of you.

Dua of Prophet (pbuh) for his ummah

Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) narrated: Once, when I saw the Prophet in a good mood, I said to him: "O Messenger of Allah! Supplicate to Allah for me!" So, he (peace be upon him) said: "O Allah! Forgive Aisha her past and future sins, what she has hidden, as well as what she has made apparent." So, I began smiling, to the point that my head fell into my lap out of joy. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: "Does my supplication make you happy?" I replied: "And how can your supplication not make me happy?" He then said: "By Allah, it is the supplication that I make for my Ummah in every prayer."

Excellence of a believer

Reported by Abu Hurairah (RA): Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "It is from the excellence of (a believer's) Islam that he should shun that which is of no concern to him". [Tirmidhi]. Commentary: This Hadith lays down a very important principle that one should avoid senseless talk and actions. If one acts upon this principle, he can save himself from many sins and evils.

Cure from Quar'an

Reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Mu`awwidhatayn, and Al-Fatihah as a cure for illness

Fatwa no. 446 :

Question: Is it lawful or not to recite Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al- Mu'awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and Al-Nas) and Al-Fatihah for the purpose of seeking healing? Did the Messenger (peace be upon him) or the Salaf (righteous predecessors) do so? Please, enlighten us.

Answer: Reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas, Mu'awwidhatayn, Al-Fatihah and other Surahs is regarded as a permissible Ruqyah (reciting Qur'an and saying supplications over the sick seeking healing) which the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) legislated by performing it himself and approving it for his Sahabah (Companions).

Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated in their two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith on the authority of Ma'mar from Al-Zuhry from 'Urwah that 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said:

In his last illness, the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to blow breath (into his cupped hands) and recite Al-Mu'awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and Al-Nas) and then wipe over his body. But when his illness aggravated, I used to recite them over him and pass his own hand over his body for its blessing.

Ma'mar asked Al-Zuhry "How did he use to blow breath?" He said,
"He used blow into his hands and then pass them over his face."
Al-Bukhari narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id Al-Khudry (may

Allah be pleased with him):

Some of the Sahabah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) came across one of the Arab tribes, but they refused to extend to them hospitality. Then the leader of that tribe was stung, so they asked (the Sahabah), "Do you have any remedy or someone who can recite supplications over the sick as a cure?" They said, "You refused to offer us hospitality, so we will not do anything until you give us something in return." And they agreed on a flock of sheep, so one of them (the Sahabah) started reciting Umm Al-Qur'an (Surah Al-Fatihah); gathering his saliva and spitting on it (the snake-bite), and the man got cured. Then they brought the sheep, but they (the Sahabah) said, "We will not take them until we ask the Prophet (whether it is lawful)." When they asked him, he smiled and said, "How do you know that it (Surah Al-Fatihah) is a Ruqyah? Take them (the sheep) and assign a share for me."

The first Hadith indicates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did recite Al-Mu'awwidhatayn over himself during his illness, while the second shows his approval of his Sahabah's recitation of Al-Fatihah as Ruqyah.

May Allah grant us success! May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions!

Leaves out from Home

Upon the authority of Abu Huraira – Radhiyallahu 'Anhu who said:

The Messenger – Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Salaam said:

"There is no one that leaves out (from their home) except that at his hands (and in a variant version 'His door') there are two banners, a banner in the hand of an angel and a banner in the hand of a Shaytan. So if he leaves out pursuing that which pleases Allah, he is followed by the Angel with his banner. He does not cease to remain under his banner until he returns to his home. But if he leaves out pursuing that which displeases Allah then he is followed by the Shaytaan with his banner. He does not cease to remain under his banner until he returns to his home."

How much water do you use when you make wudhu? The prophet Muhammad (SAW) used 1 mudd = about 750ml. Here is a vessel replicating the amount of water he used during wudhu

Good and Evil

Nawas ibn Sam'an reported that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was asked about doing good and evil. He replied, "Doing good is having good manners. Doing evil is what troubles you inside and what you would not like others to know about." (Al-Bukhari)

Along Dua by Prophet (pbuh) for his ummah

Our Prophet (ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) in an authentic narration, made a long du`a with just one verse of the Qur'an, asking forgiveness for his beloved Ummah. "...If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise" ~ (Surat Al-Mā'idah, verse 118).

Eventually, the angel Jibreel was sent down by Allah to console our Prophet (ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) and to tell him, "We shall please you with regards to your Ummah, and not bring you distress."

Wrong way of Dhikr

The Sahaaba refute the sufi way of dhikr (Hu hu with surround sound)

Qais ibn Ubad reported: The companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, disliked to raise their voices during a funeral, at the time of fighting and when they remembered Allah.

Guidance

Have you seen he who has taken his own desire as his god, and Allah has sent him astray due with knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and has put a veil over his vision? So who will guide him after Allah? Will you not be reminded?

[Surah Al-Jathiyah 45:23]

Prophet (pbuh) is Mercy for all

Significance of sending blessing upon Prophet (pbh)

Send blessings on the prophet (saw)

Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:

"Du'aa' is detained between the heavens and the earth and no part of it is taken up until you send blessings upon your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)."

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 486; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 403).

Significance of Monday and Thursday

Abu Hurairah reported that the most the Prophet, salla Allahu alaihi wa salam, would fast would be Monday and Thursday. He was asked about that and he said: "The deeds of people are presented to Allah on every Monday and Thursday. Allah forgives every Muslim except for those who are deserting each other. He says: "leave them for later." [Ahmad; Hasan]

Character of Prophet (pbuh)

Sa'd bin Hisham asked Aisha (radi Allahu anha) about the character of the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), so she replied: 'Have you not read the Qur'an?' Sa'd said: 'Of course.' Then she (Aisha) said: 'Verily the character of the Messenger of Allah was the Qur'an. (Sahih Muslim)

significance of Monday

The Prophet (peace be on him) was asked about fasting on Monday, he said:" That is the day I was born and the day (the first Revelation) was sent down on me." (Muslim 2603)

Worldly Life

know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. and in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

[Al Quran 57:20]

Responsibility

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) as saying:
"Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The amir (ruler) who is over the people is a shepherd and is responsible for hs flock ; a man is a shepherd in charge of the inhabitants of his household and he is responsible for his flock ; a woman is a shepherdess in charge of her husband's house and children and she is responsible for them; and a man's slave is a shepherd in charge of his master's property and he is responsible for it. So each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock."
[Bukhari and Muslim]

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) as saying: "Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The Definition of Riyâ' by Abû Ammâr Yasir al-Qadhî

Linguistically, riyâ' comes from the root ra 'â . which means "to see. to behold, to view." The derived word riyâ ' means "eyeservice; hypocrisy, dissimulation; dissemblance.'"[1]

From a Sharî'ah point of view, it means "to perform acts which are pleasing to Allâh. with the intention of pleasing other than Allâh". The intention may be a totally false intention, where the person who does this act has no consciousness of Allâh whatsoever, or it may be a partially false intention, where the person does have Allâh in mind, but at the same time desires praise from other people.

From this definition, it can be seen that riyâ ' originates in the heart. The scholars of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jamâ'ah are agreed that belief (îmân) comprises actions of the heart (such as fear, love, trust and hope), actions of the tongue (such as the utterance of the shahâdah), and actions of the limbs (such as the performance of the prayer and pilgrimage). Shaykh al-Islâm Ibn Taymîyah said. "[The actions of the heart] are part of the fundamentals of belief, and the foundations of religion. Included in it are: love for Allâh and His Messenger trust in Allâh, sincerity of religion for Allâh. thankfulness to Him, patience with His Decree, fear of Him. ... and all of these actions are obligatory upon all of the creation, according to the unanimous agreement of all the scholars."[2] Ibn Qayyim al-Jawzîyah said. "The actions of the heart are the foundation (of belief), and the actions of the limbs follow and complete them. Intention is like the soul, and actions like the body : if the soul leaves the body, the body dies. Therefore, knowledge of the affairs of the heart is more important than knowledge of the affairs of the limbs ... How else is a hypocrite distinguished from a believer except by the deeds of the heart? The worship and submission of the heart is greater than the worship and submission of the limbs, they are more in number, and more continuous, since it (i.e. worship by the heart) is obligatory at every instance."[3]

The splitting of the moon is one of miracles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

This story is included in the works of such great hadith scholars as Imam al-Bukhari, Muslim, al-Tirmidhi, Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Abu Dawud, al-Hakim, al-Bayhaqi, and Abu Nu`aym.25 Some of these hadiths are as follows:

Abdullah ibn Mas`ud (said): We were with the Messenger of Allah at Mina when the Moon was split in two. One part was behind the mountain and the other one was on this side of the mountain. He said to us: "Bear witness to this." 26

Abdullah ibn Mas`ud reported that the Moon was split in two parts during the Messenger of Allah's lifetime. The mountain covered one of its parts and one part of it was above the mountain, and he said: "Bear witness to this." 27

During the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah, the Moon was split in two; one part remained over the mountain, and the other part went beyond the mountain. On that, he said: "Witness this miracle."28

The hadiths state that this miracle occurred in Mecca. They also relate that the Meccans wanted him to perform this miracle:

The people of Mecca asked the Messenger of Allah to show them signs (miracles), and he showed them the splitting of the Moon twice.29

According to the story, the Prophet Muhammad (saas) did as they asked, but they continued to deny the truth of his message and embrace Islam:

If they see a Sign they turn away, saying: "There is no end to this witchcraft!" They have denied the truth and followed their whims and desires. But everything has its time. (Surat al-Qamar: 2-3)

The unbelievers could say nothing in the face of such a great miracle and accused our Prophet (saas) of bewitching them. After they saw the Moon split with their own eyes, they should have realized that he was a true prophet. But because of their arrogance, desires, and passions, they did not accept the Qur'an. This attitude is common among all unbelievers. No matter what miracle they witness.
